Check what free access includes
Before choosing a home workout app, check whether you can finish a session without starting a trial, entering payment details or creating an account. Also check what equipment the session needs. A download marked free may still have paid features, so read the current store listing. Tonus 1.4 provides free access without an account, subscription or in-app purchases.
Choose a session for the time and equipment you have
Tonus offers home sessions of 5, 10 or 20 minutes. You can choose equipment-free, standing or no-jump options. Those labels describe the workout format; they do not establish that a workout is suitable for a particular injury or medical condition. Read the exercise instructions and choose a session that fits your situation.
See what happens during a workout
The app shows written technique instructions and timers. You can replace exercises and rate the difficulty after finishing. Videos are available for 60 exercises, but online playback needs internet. External video services apply their own policies and may show ads.
Check how progress and permissions work
Tonus records completed workouts on the device. Apple Health is optional. A flexible plan can follow your selected training days and retain completed progress when a session is missed. You decide whether to share a workout result. The app does not promise a particular change in weight or strength.
Check your iPhone before downloading
Tonus requires iOS 17 or later. Open the App Store link to check compatibility and the current version for your country. The published version checked for this guide is 1.4, released on 13 October 2026. This guide is written by the developer and is not an independent review.
