Tonus is a free workout app for iPhone. It includes short home sessions, a flexible plan and six gym programs. No registration or subscription is required.
- Home workouts without a subscription: what to check
Before choosing a home workout app, check whether you can finish a session without starting a trial, entering payment details or creating an account. Also check what equipment the session needs. A download marked free may still have paid features, so read the current store listing. Tonus 1.4 provides free access without an account, subscription or in-app purchases.
- Using Tonus offline: plans, videos and your data
Tonus stores workout plans, written exercise instructions and workout history on the iPhone. You can use the plans and written instructions without internet access. Apple Health integration is optional, and the app says that workout history and Health data stay on the device.
- How the 12-workout flexible plan handles a missed day
The flexible trainer in Tonus 1.4 contains 12 workouts. Choose three training days with rest between them, then select a session length of 5, 10 or 20 minutes and gentle or regular effort. No-jump, standing and equipment-free options are available.
Tonus does not provide medical care. Stop if you feel pain or unwell. If you have health restrictions, discuss training with a qualified professional.
